[ the general regret of getting asahi drunk enough to end up hungover fades in the days following the incident, but his curiosity about what was said on the phone to daichi remains in place.

they've had one day of practice come and go with no mention of anything, but it's not as if he's really stopped either of them to try to make conversation about it. and it doesn't occur to him to actually ask about it until long after practice is over for the day anyway.

so it's after practice the following day, a couple of days after waking up to find asahi at his place, that he catches the team ace after he's done in the club room and about to head out. ]
