his own want is why he makes the offer, but doesn't act on it himself. he knows he could easily get closer and kiss asahi again, longer this time, and it wouldn't be a problem. as easy as it would be, he prefers the thought of taking things at whatever pace asahi wants so there's less reason for him to get caught up in worry.

that's why he stays in his spot on the couch, watching as asahi seems to gather himself and not saying a word beyond his invitation to go on.

and, in a way, that makes him anticipate what's coming even more as asahi moves closer to him on the couch. once the hand ends up against his jaw, ukai tips his head toward the touch with a smile that's a mixture of eager and amused. ] This is okay, yeah.
